This famous area once once housed numerous banks and trading houses from the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Italy, Russia, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, and Belgium, as well as the consulates of Russia and Britain and has\u00a0area has retained a European feel making it very popular with tourists. naby old English and French buildings have been converted to restaurants. Various architecture styles visible here include\u00a0Gothic, Romanesque, Baroque, Neoclassical, and Renaissance influences. Sightseeing tours depart from here to see the\u00a0confluence of the Huangpujiang and Yangtze rivers.\u00a0The 1,700-meters (1,859 yards) long flood-control wall, known as ‘the lovers’ wall’, located on the side of Huangpu River from Huangpu Park to Xinkai River and once was the most romantic corner in Shanghai in the last century.\u00a0The views, people watching and long walk were all great.\u00a0The Bund, particularly in the evening when all buildings are colorful illuminated, is simply spectacular. If you haven\u2019t visited the Bund, you haven\u2019t seen Shanghai.\u00a0 It\u2019s all lit up. In the evening\u2019s a great time to enjoy the surroundings and take pictures!<\/p>\n
Pudong New Area\u00a0

<\/strong><\/h2>\nModern architecture, beautiful landscapes, panoramic views from the skyscrapers – This is 21st century China. The area is full of towering skyscrapers and is quite a sight to\u00a0see at night. Many of the showcase building are designed by famous architects from Italy, Japan, Spain and the United States. The land used to be occupied by marshes, farms, once-story building and rice paddies. There\u2019s an elevated walkway where you can take in the main buildings, and afterwards can hop on the ferry back over to The Bund.\u00a0Take a taxi to Pudong start with the Shanghai tower after walk to the water front and take many pictures of the high buildings then take the little train under the water and walk along the Bund.\u00a0Definitely one of the best views of Shanghai during the day and the night time.<\/p>\n
Take a ride on the Maglev \u2014 the world’s fastest train<\/h2>\n

<\/div>\nA ride in the Maglev train from Pudong Airport to the city center is a perfect way to\u00a0feel super-modern Shanghai<\/strong>.\u00a0At 431 kph<\/strong>\u00a0(270 mph, twice the speed of a theme park roller coaster), this air-conditioned, super-clean, magnetically-levitated train covers 30 km (19 miles) in only 8 minutes, though you hardly feel you’re moving!\u00a0 The train line connects Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Longyang Road Station (in the outskirts of central Pudong), where passengers can interchange to the Shanghai Metro to continue their trip to the city center. Construction of the line began in March 1, 2001.\u00a0Shanghai Maglev trains don’t have wheels:\u00a0<\/strong>They use magnetic levitation technology to move without touching the ground.<\/p>
